full time teacher - job description

Responsible to: The Director of Studies, the Activity Co-ordinator.

Responsible for: Teaching students in the mornings and afternoons.

Main Duties

1. To teach from 9.00 to 12.20, and from 13.30 to 16.50 (or from 14.00 to 17.20).

2. To attend a meeting prior to the start of the course and thereafter to attend regular staff meetings.

3. To ensure that students adhere to the code of conduct laid down by the company.

4. To ensure students receive all necessary information prior to departure on excursions.

5. To liaise with group leaders on all issues of student welfare/behaviour.

N.B. On occasions when student groups have a weekday arrival the missed lessons are made up either by adding an extra 20 mins to each morning or by replacing an afternoon activity with a 3-hour teaching session. Teachers are expected to be available for any such rearranged sessions.

Rates of Pay

The current rate of pay is £330 per week (for 30 hours).
