Can I choose to be residential or non-residential?

All Activity Coordinator positions are residential.

Will I have to work in the evening and at weekends?

Sometimes yes, as groups arrive and depart at irregular times.

Do I get any free time?

You should be able to organise your time and coordinate with other staff but the days and hours are not fixed and can vary from week to week.

I'm not available at the beginning of July. Should I still apply?

July is the busiest period in all centres and you must be available for the whole of this month.

Do I need qualifications or experience?

Relevant experience of working in a summer camp or language school is essential but there are no formal qualifications.

What sort of things will I be doing?

We are looking for people to liaise with group leaders and students regarding their social programmes, to manage activity monitors, and generally make sure the excursions, sports and activities are well-run and successful. It involves booking, reconfirming, supervising and being very aware of what is happening outside of lesson times. The job carries a lot of responsibility.

When are interviews held?

We interview from January through to April.

Do I have to attend any training sessions?

All applicants are required to attend a training weekend in June. Job offers are subject to successful participation in the weekend.

How long are the contracts?

We usually offer 5 week contracts.
