LSC is a British Council accredited subsidiary of STS Student Travel Schools, a Swedish company which has been organizing summer language courses for overseas students for over forty years. LSC and STS run courses for overseas students aged from 12 to 17 at various centres around the UK & USA.
LSC has lots of stimulating and rewarding summer jobs in the UK and the US for people with TEFL qualifications and experience, and teachers with experience but no formal qualifications may be able to work in an STS course town in the UK. In order to avoid making an application that is unlikely to be considered please read the following four points very carefully.
Please note that:
(1) these are short-term jobs (starting early July, usually for 4 to 6 weeks) which are aimed at teachers who have a base in the UK or the US. Teachers currently working abroad can be considered if they can return to the UK or the US in time to attend one of our pre-course training sessions (late June).
(2) non-British nationals based outside the UK cannot be considered for work in the UK.
(3) non-British nationals based in the UK can be considered providing they have native-speaker competence in English, are suitably qualified and have a British bank account.
(4) nearly all of the jobs in the UK are non-residential, which means you will need to have accommodation in or very near the course town.
(5) all applicants for New York, San Francisco, Santa Barbara & Fort Lauderdale must have the right to work in the United States of America. All documentation will be checked prior to employment.
