Warrington's excellent location means that it is only a few hours' drive from three national parks - the Lake District, the Peak District and Snowdonia. The lively cities of Manchester, Liverpool and Chester are within 30 minutes of Warrington. For local shopping, within walking distance of the campus, the Birchwood Mall houses 55 high street shops. Famous for 'firsts', Warrington has a history of implementing innovative ideas, from medieval times to the present day. From building Britain's first canal, to opening the country's first public library, Warrington has a history of being at the forefront of creative technological thinking.

Warrington
is part of the University of Chester and is set on a self-contained 35-acre
campus about 10 minutes from Warrington town centre.
All the facilities are within one minute's walk of the accommodation. The classrooms are bright and modern, and there are lecture theatres for film nights, talent shows and quiz nights. The campus has an indoor sports hall and outside there is an excellent all-weather sports area as well as large grass sports fields. The cafeteria is new, and the student union has areas for social activities including discos.
